Colombian Decaff Coffee Beans
Are you curious about Decaf Coffee? It is much maligned, but, when treated with respect, you have all the attributes of quality coffee flavour, without the caffeine. Not a bad thing when you feel like an afternoon or evening coffee.
In simple terms, decaf is coffee that has had the caffeine removed. Many people are allergic to caffeine but still enjoy the flavour of the coffee.
Decaf coffee from BUZZ is superb as an espresso, served us a flat white, a cappuccino or a latte.
Long black coffee drinkers comment on how delicious it is.
At home, we have tried it through the syphon, a filter and the plunger and enjoyed it.
Colombian Coffee beans are revered worldwide for their consistent quality.
A regular cup of coffee has around 95 milligrams of caffeine while a cup of decaf coffee has around 2 milligrams of caffeine.
How do you Make Decaffeinated Coffee?
The current Decaf at BUZZ Coffee beans is Colombian European Prep. Mountain Water Decaf.
The Mountain Water Process to decaffeinate coffee is a natural process. It uses pure water from the glaciers of Mexico. The beans are immersed in this pure water to remove the caffeine.
The water will contain all the soluble elements of the flavour, and this ensures the beans maintain their original components.
The change in flavour from the Swiss Water Process to the Mountain Water Process has proven significant for our BUZZ Colombian Decaf.
You would never even know it was a decaf coffee!
