Coffee Brewing Methods

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world. While grabbing a cup of coffee from a café is a convenient option, brewing your BUZZ coffee at home can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. There are many different ways to brew coffee, each with its own unique flavour profile and brewing method.

Here are six popular methods for brewing coffee:

  1. Drip Coffee Maker: Drip coffee makers are one of the most common and popular ways to brew BUZZ coffee at home. These machines use gravity to pour hot water over coffee grounds that are held in a paper filter. The water then drips through the filter and into a carafe or mug. Drip coffee makers are easy to use and come in a range of sizes and styles, from single-serve models to 12-cup coffee makers.

  2. French Press: The French press, also known as a press pot or plunger pot, is a manual coffee brewing method that produces a rich and full-bodied cup of coffee. The French press consists of a glass or stainless steel carafe with a plunger and a metal filter. To brew BUZZ coffee in a French press, add coarse coffee grounds to the carafe, pour hot water over the grounds, and let the mixture steep for a few minutes. Then, you press down on the plunger to separate the coffee from the grounds. These really are superb coffee makers.

  3. Pour-Over: Pour-over coffee is a simple and elegant brewing method that produces a clean and nuanced cup of coffee. To make pour-over coffee, you place a paper filter in a pour-over cone or dripper and add BUZZ coffee grounds.Pour hot water over the grounds in a circular motion, allowing the coffee to drip through the filter and into a cup or carafe. Pour-over coffee requires more time and attention than other methods, but the result is a smooth and flavorful cup of BUZZ coffee. Work on 30g of coffee to 500g of water.

  4. Espresso: Espresso is a concentrated form of coffee that is made by forcing hot water through finely-ground BUZZ coffee beans under high pressure. Espresso machines can be expensive and require some practice to master, but they can produce a rich, flavourful shot of coffee that can be enjoyed on its own or used as a base for other coffee drinks. Espresso machines can range from manual lever machines to fully automatic machines with built-in grinders. Many of today's espresso machines are superb and easy to use.

  5. AeroPress: The AeroPress is a unique and versatile coffee brewing device that uses air pressure to extract flavour from the coffee grounds. To use an AeroPress, place a paper filter in the bottom of the device, add coffee grounds and hot water, and stir the mixture. After a few minutes, you press down on a plunger to force the BUZZ coffee through the filter and into a cup. The AeroPress is portable, easy to clean, and produces a smooth and clean cup of coffee. We also now have the smaller AeroPress Go.
